community including food, shelter, healthcare, education, and childcare.

empowerment programs that encourage holistical

Luke Society, also reffered to locally as the
Hobo Breakfast, meets every Saturday at 8:00 am in the parking lot on
the corner of 20th and Church Streets in Galveston to provide medical,
spiritual, and material service to the homeless of Galveston.

poverty and by providing gifts of livestock and training to help
families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable
ways.

Outreach to Patients provides an opportunity to visit the sick and
minister to those at the University
of Texas Medical Branch.

The Seafarers Center of Galveston is an ecumenical organization
aimed at serving the needs of the men and women who live and work at
sea. The Port of Galveston serves people traveling from many
different countries and the Seafarers
Center provides ammenities to try to give these men and women a sense
of welcome and comfort while they are away from home.

mission of the Resource and Crisis
Center of Galveston
is to promote the safety, well-being, and best interest of victims of
family violence, sexual assault, and child abuse and to advocate for
the prevention of such crimes. Westminster
provide hand-made child blankets each year to
the RCC.

The Ronald McDonald House of Galveston is a “home away from home”
for the families of children who are seeking medical treatment at the University of Texas
Medical Branch, Shriners Hospital
for Children and Transitional
Learning Center. Westminster also provides children’s
blankets to the Ronald McDonald House each year.

Sabeel is an ecumenical grassroots liberation theology movement
among Palestinian Christians. Inspired by the life and teaching of
Jesus Christ, this liberation theology seeks to deepen the faith of
Palestinian Christians and to promote unity among them toward social
action. Sabeel strives to develop a
spirituality based on love, justice, peace, nonviolence, liberation and
reconciliation for the different national and faith communities.
